WE TEACH
Meditation
Meditation heals our lives more than anything else. It helps us find inner peace and calm and is conducive to developing wisdom.
WE PRACTICE
Theravada Buddhism
We are part of the oldest living Buddhist tradition in the world, Theravada. The teachings come from the Buddha named Siddhartha Gautama.
Mahamevnawa,
Meaning “Great Cloud Monastery,” was the name of the first monastery established in Sri Lanka and the place where Arahant Mahinda Thero first introduced the Buddha’s teachings to the island.
